This nomadic African tribe have preserved their unique culture by maintaining their own social, political and religious traditions.  They have a distinctive dress and speak Maa (ɔl Maa) but also Swahili and English. The Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village & Museum is located to the west of Kilimanjaro in Maasailand just 85 km from Arusha and visitors will get an insight into authentic Maasai life and culture. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide as you tour the village and museum, get a better understanding of Maasai culture and traditions, experience Maasai hunting techniques including using a bow and arrow and enjoy a traditional lunch. The income generated by your visit contributes directly to the sustaining this community.
